Leamon leads study on solar cycles & La Nina events

"A new study, led by GPHI researcher Robert Leamon (UMBC) and co-authored by Daniel Marsh (NCAR), shows a correlation between the end of solar cycles and a switch to La Nina conditions in the Pacific Ocean, suggesting that the sun's variability can drive seasonal weather variability on Earth. The findings were published in the journal Earth and Space Science." (NSF.gov)
